Dust Spots Showing in Photos
Should I open this camera up and blow canned air through in the hope that dust spots will disappear or could it create more problems.

It could work, but only if the dust is not within the lens assembly. In that case you would have to disassemble that and try to clean it. It should not create any more issues.
