The last two days my 1990 miata struggled to crank for a few seconds then cranked on. I was looking at fuses because my right blinker would work sometime then stop for days then come back on again. Today I turn the key and nothing. Radio and lights all work fine. I tried jumping the car it wouldnt make a sound. Very frustrating I was about to sell it.

mac, besides plenty of other things, I would start by checking the starter. If it does not crank over but has power to the starter solenoid, replace it. you can find some good instructions for the starter replacement on here.To check the solenoid, check on this link. Different vehicle, same principle. Hope this helps, good luck.
