Has anybody experienced like scrambled video while the MBP is powered and the auto shutdown process happens? I am just wondering if I have the famous NVIDIA issue on my 1260, or it's actually a PRAM battery. Just rather know if anybody experienced that symptom as well, before I drop $40.00. Thanks guys, love this site.

The PRAM battery won't cause a vid problem.
Yes, you likely have the NVIDIA chip problem. Best to get to an Apple Store and have them verify it. They have a test tool to tell them. If you do have the problem you should be able to get the logic board exchanged out for a flat bench fee. Review the NVIDIA case histories with Apple & NVIDIA as well as the Seattle Rex small claims suit with Apple Rex Vs Apple. Leverage both in your dialog with them.
