Why is my battery getting hot fast?
My battery is getting hot within few minutes of starting my PC. I can't work because the keyboard is very hot. What should I do? Please help me.

I would suspect a faulty battery. Also, follow Mike's suggestion without the battery in the laptop and see if it is the battery, or something else that is getting hot.

Battery is inbuilt in laptop like ativ book6 so I have no much choice. down with Samsung , lots of problems , bet it machine, be it motherboard and be it everything else . Moreover its outsourced product I am writing blog recommending all my followers and friends to stay away from this phony company products.

i always use it on a flat wooden table and the under side is well ventilated

Have you tried removing the battery and running it while connected only to power to see if the machine is still running hot?

can you see the number of screws at the back of the Samsung notebook laptop? its model number is NP530U4B-503ZA. is that possible to remove the battery in this kind of laptops and to work without it?
