White Display w/ Vertical Stripes - Got Wet, Logic OK - LCD?

My iPhone 3G had an unfortunate meeting with a puddle. After drying in dessicant for two weeks, I only have a white display with vertical striping, like a bar code. All logic board functions seem to work fine, even the touch, I can turn it off by swiping where the power off slider should be. I also pulled it down completely to check for corrosion at the logic board, all seems clear under the magnifying glass. From what I've read on these FAQ's, I should only need the replacement LCD. Does anyone with more experiance concur?
