What is the right replacement screen/lcd for a SONY VAIO VGN-FW465J?

I have sony vaio FW-465J

Graphics/Video Card : ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 1025MB ...DDR3 possibly

the current screen(16.4") is an LCD with resolution 1600x900.

I want replace it with a fullHD(1920x1080) screen.

If the replacement is 2 CCFL, will it work with my current laptop? Also does my notebook computer support a higher resolution screen?

EDIT:

The Laptop graphics card does support alot higher resolutions. However I would like to know if anybody has upgraded there lcd screen with higher reso one.

What would be the difference between a 2 ccfl or 1ccfl

Hi, u need to provide the part no. for the lcd screen to check whether other models are compatible. The part no. looks like (LP164WD1(TL)(A1)). Write back on what u did. Good luck.

Ahmed Akif, you do not provide enough information. At least we need to know the number on your panel. If you do not have the number for the panel, you can not determine what the highest resolution is. This will make a difference in reference to the LVDS connector. Also, it will help to determine if your laptop has the right inverter to drive 2CCFLs. Buy the way a CCFL is a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL). Basically the lightbulb that provides the backlight for your display. This "lightbulb" plugs into the inverter, which supplies its power. It will depend on your inverter to possibly drive two CCFLs. The higher resolution may be supported, but it all depends on the pinout of the LVDS essentially the data cable which sends the signals to your display. Unless you have the right inverter to drive 2CCFLs and the same pinout for the data connection, you will not get it to work.

Based on what information is on www.notebookscreen.eu the only screen size for this Sony Vaio VGN-FW465J laptop is this original screen. If you have issues with your screen, you can get cheap replacement screen for Sony VGN-FW465J laptop LCD.

Technically your laptop can support FullHD, but 16.4" LCDs are only for Sony laptops, and since they don't make laptops with that screen, you won't have an option for it :(

2CCFLs are providing brighter backlight, but consumes more energy. Your laptop only has 1 CCFL.
