Accidentally severed wifi cables when removing screen.

Testo:

I was given for free this laptop.
Lcd screen was not woking anymore. Laptop worked with VGA monitor fine.
Unfortunately while working on scree replacement i severed one of the cables in approx . Middle of length going from wifi modules (white one), by not securing the weight of the screen, when i unscrewed it.
I was recommended to source the same cable.
Unfortunately no luck on local sources or on ebay.
Many of the videos online recommended stripping the cable, cutting and joining them again with solder, which im afraid i can not do, since the cable would be probably short for screen opening / closing.
Is there any work around that could work?
Im thinking about simply using the laptop with tethered connection from smartphone, since it doesn't have any ethernet ports.
But I'd rather fix the cable honestly.
