Have you checked in ''Windows Start button > Settings > Devices >Touchpad'' to see if the touchpad has been disabled, you didn't say?

Right click on the Windows Start button and click on the Device Manager link. When in Device Managerscroll down to HIS and click on the > symbol to expand the list.

If there is a yellow exclamation mark next to the touchpad entry then there is a driver problem. If you’re connected to the internet, right click on the touchpad entry and selct Update driver and follow the prompts.

If it all appears to be OK i.e. no crosses or marks then right click on the Touchpad entry and click on Properties > General tab and view what it says in the device status box in the middle. Does it sayt that “this device is working properly?
