Try starting the laptop in [https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-10|safe mode - start at Step.2] and then go to ''Troubleshooting > Advanced > Startup Repair'' and follow the prompts and check if this resolves the problem.

Do NOT select ''Reset this PC'' because if you choose the wrong option after this you could erase all your data as Windows will be reinstalled
