Not sure if this is a help to you or not.

Here’s a image taken from p.72 of the [https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_300-14isk_300-15isk_300-17isk_hmm_201610.pdf|service manual] for your laptop. It seems to show the LCD cable going under (or behind depending on your point of view) the hinge.
