Installing the Transmission Drain Plug

  • Re-insert the transmission drain plug into the transmission housing and hand tighten.

  • Using a 3/4" wrench, tighten down the transmission drain plug.

  • It is important to not over-tighten the drain plug. Tightening the plug too much can strip the threads on the aluminum housing. The plug should be tight, but not too tight. The correct torque specification is 14 - 21 ft-lbs (168 - 252 in-lbs).

Installare il tappo del foro di drenaggio della trasmissione

Re-inserisci il tappo nel foro di drenaggio e stringilo a mano.

Usando una chiave da 16 o 19 mm, stringi il tappo.

È importante non serrare troppo il tappo. Stringere troppo potrebbe rovinare i filetti d'alluminio del carter principale. Il tappo deve essere stretto ma non troppo. La coppia indicata è di 19-28,5 Nm.
