  • The following steps show how to remove the button covers from the rear case of the iPad. If you are simply replacing the button cable, you can leave the button covers in place.

  • Remove the sleep/power button form the rear case.

  • Note the orientation for reassembly, the metal spring bar should fall down toward the rear of the case.
