Introduzione
Con l'uso continuato, i ventilatori da tavolo tendono a raccogliere polvere e detriti. Questo accumulo, oltre a intaccarne le prestazioni complessive, può far sì che il tuo ventilatore emetta strani tremolii. Fortunatamente, la soluzione è relativamente semplice, e non richiede nemmeno un cacciavite - tutto ciò che serve è una salvietta umida e le proprie mani.
Nota bene: sebbene generalmente siano i detriti la fonte del problema, è possibile che non sia così, e che un'altra parte della ventola (come il suo motore) sia difettoso. Ciò va al di là di quanto descritto in questa guida, quindi se la tua ventola continua a fare rumore dopo una corretta pulizia, potresti dover cercare altrove un altro approccio per risolvere il problema.

Colloca il tuo ventilatore su un'area sgombra e in piano, come un tavolo.

Può essere utile posizionare un panno sotto la ventola, in quanto cattura alcuni dei detriti che cadono.

Rimuovi i morsetti che circondano la gabbia di protezione tirando ciascuno verso l'esterno (lontano dal ventilatore) uno alla volta.

Mentre togli gli ultimi morsetti, assicurati di tenere la gabbia con un'altra mano. Altrimenti, la gabbia si staccherà!

Una volta liberata la parte anteriore della gabbia, toglila dal ventilatore e mettila da una parte.

Ora che le lame sono esposte, è il momento di rimuoverle. Tieni ferme le lame con una mano mentre con l'altra gira la manopola al centro del pezzo.

Prendi nota della direzione in cui va girata la manopola per allentarla, che su questa ventola dall'etichetta risulta essere in senso orario (non a sinistra!). Se hai problemi a girare la manopola, può darsi che tu la stia girando nel modo sbagliato!

Una volta allentata a sufficienza, la manopola dovrebbe girare e uscire fuori.

Ora che la manopola è stata rimossa, è possibile staccare le lame!

Estrai le lame direttamente dal rotore, usando l'altro braccio per appesantire il resto del ventilatore.

Posiziona le lame da un lato a fianco della metà della gabbia già rimossa.

Ora andremo a rimuovere l'altra metà della gabbia. Per fare ciò è necessario rimuovere prima la ghiera che circonda il rotore.

Come per la manopola, assicurati di controllare l'etichetta per vedere in quale direzione si deve girare. Su questa ventola, questa volta devo girare in senso antiorario (stavolta a sinistra!).

Tolta la ghiera, è ora possibile far scorrere l'altra metà della gabbia.

Quando rimonterai la ventola, ricordati di far scorrere questa metà della gabbia all'indietro allineando i fori nel centro metallico della gabbia con i monconi che sporgono dalla ventola.

Rimosse le parti facilmente staccabili, ora dovreste trovarvi di fronte un ventilatore spoglio.

È ora di passare alle pulizie! Per prima cosa, le pale del ventilatore. Non immergere il ventilatore in acqua e non lasciare mai che l'acqua goccioli nella scocca del motore.

Inumidisci un panno con acqua calda e inizia a pulire la superficie delle lame. Non usare mai benzina, benzene o diluente per pulire il ventilatore, danneggerebbe la superficie della ventola.

Assicurati di pulire tutti gli angoli e le fessure. Lascia asciugare il pezzo.

Infine, il resto del ventilatore.

Come negli ultimi due passi, pulisci il rotore e la zona circostante sul ventilatore. Dopo la pulizia, assicurati di asciugare completamente il ventilatore con un panno o un asciugamano prima di utilizzarlo.

Voilà! Il tuo ventilatore dovrebbe essere (quasi) come nuovo! Assicurati di ripetere spesso per una corretta manutenzione del ventilatore (una volta ogni una o due settimane dovrebbe essere sufficiente, a seconda dell'utilizzo del ventilatore).
Mine case is quite a different root cause for humming noise. Only when clearing of four roller’s surface of underneath baseplate, the noise disappeared. Slight un-evenness of the whole platform had creat humming problem.
LOL, clean a fan every 2 weeks? I clean ours about every 2 to 3 years. My proplem is the fan rattles when tilted upwards. It's a 16 inch desktop fan, but it sits on the floor in our bedroom. I know it is the motor shaft shifting back and forth. This fan has done this pretty much since it was new. Is there any way to put a spring or something on the motor shaft to stop this rattling?

If you tried cleaning the fan and had no success in fixing the issue, there's a whole device page dedicated to fans if you head over to: Household Fan which may point you to the right solution, you may also try asking on the answers forum (https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/Ask/Fan) and there's a very good chance an experienced user can guide you through the process of IDing and fixing the problem

Worked like a charm. I had a noisy pedestal fan in my bedroom that's only used during the summer, but it got noisy enough to wake us up. Now it's nice and quiet. I also made a cover for it to keep the dust out when it's being stored during winter. Our fan had the directions that the various pieces were to be turned to tighten them imprinted on the pieces themselves. It's an 18-year-old Lasko pedestal fan, and I'd cleaned it before, but not as thoroughly as the instructions indicated.
my fan is brand new.it makes a creeky squeeky sound every time it turns to the right.i know how to put a fan together,but i've never tried to see if i can open up a motor to see if i can hear where it is originating from.i think the joint is too tight in the arm maybe.i can't find anyone who knows who can fix it-no electrician knows.i also have problem finding someone who can install an apartment ac,for when i need a new ac-no ac business has a clue!
My fan seems like it has lost it's balance....it makes ticking sound while rotating.... Seems like it's neck is broken... What should I do...???

Cleaning the fan (which isn't fixing it) did nothing.
The fan required some lubricant on the spindle, which was worked into the other areas at either end.
After a moment's, the fan was more quiet than before.
my fan is brand new, bought it and it sat for around 4 months doing nothing, i took it plugged it in and it worked fine then after 10 minutes it started making very loud and noisy buzzing noise i couldnt sleep at all..
Should I oil it after cleaning.
