Cursor slow to respond or not responding at all
When using the trackpad, the cursor has a noticeable delay in moving around the screen, left and right clicking might also be sluggish or completely non-responsive.
The trackpad’s connector has come loose
First remove the bottom of the laptop’s case by unscrewing it and undoing the clips near the hinge. Keep in mind the case is metal and could be sharp. Next unplug the battery from the mother board. The plug will be on the right-hand side of the device, above the speaker. Unscrew the screws holding the battery in place and set it aside. The back side of the trackpad is now visible. Inspect the ribbon connecting it to the mother board. If it has come undone place the ribbon back in its connector. Reconnect the battery and turn the device on to make sure the problem is resolved.
The trackpad is faulty
Follow the above steps to gain access to the trackpad. Disconnect the ribbon from the mother board. Next, unscrew the track pad and remove the silver tape holding it in place. Rotate the track pad out and set it aside. Rotate the new track pad into place and screw it into the device. Connect the ribbon into the mother board and place the battery back in the device. Turn the device on and make sure the trackpad is functioning properly.
Some of the keyboard keys are difficult to press and are unresponsive
When using the keyboard, you will notice that some keys are hard to press and are unresponsive.
There is something stuck under some of the keyboard keys
First observe the keyboard for an unevenness among the keys. Notice that if one key looks higher than the other there is most likely something under that key. Second remove the bottom of the laptop’s case by unscrewing it and undoing the clips near the hinge. Keep in mind the case is metal and could be sharp. Next up plug the battery from the mother board. The plug will be on the right-hand side of the device, above the speaker. Unscrew the screws holding the battery in place and set it aside. Next unscrew the mother board and under that you should find the keyboard. After removing whatever was under the keyboard reattach the motherboard and the battery and double check that the problem is resolved.
The Keyboard is faulty
Follow the previous steps to regain access to the internal section keyboard. Now with the other parts of the computer out of the way slowing start to remove the faulty keys. Then after those keys are removed carefully replace them. After the faulty parts are replaced reattach everything and put the computer back together. Double check to make sure everything is working properly.
Speaker sounds unclear and Distorted
The sounds when running audio or audio-visual file sounds unclear and distorted, it also breaks up sometimes.
The Connection to the Motherboard is broken
First the Laptop should be opened up by unscrewing the bolts holding it together. This should be carried out carefully to avoid any more damages to the laptop and harm to yourself for the metal material could be harmful. Secondly, the speakers are located on both sides of the laptop so carefully locate the wires that connect them up to the motherboard inspect if the connection is secure if not tighten/secure the wires of the speakers firmly on the motherboard, you might use an adhesive if required to hold these wires strongly to the motherboard. Turn on the device and test to make sure the problem is resolved.
The Speaker is Broken
Following the previous steps and precaution in opening the Laptop, disconnect the speakers wires from the motherboard. Take out the speakers and replace it with new speakers. Turn device on to ensure problem is solved
USB drive not working
Cannot connect usb devices to the usb drives on the right hand side of the laptop.
Dirty USB ports
Use a can of keyboard cleaner to blow dust out of the usb ports.
Loose Connector
Unscrew and unclip the bottom of the laptop’s case to remove it.. The wide black above the battery should connect the motherboard to the board containing the USB ports. If it is not, plug the ribbon back into the appropriate port.
Faulty Board
Remove the bottom of the laptop’s case by unscrewing and uncliping it. Disconnect the ribbon connecting the motherboard and the board containing the USB ports, also, be sure to disconnect the speaker from this board. Unscrew the board and lift it out. Plate the new board and screw it in. Reconnect the speaker and ribbon, and reattatch the bottom of the case.
Laptop Battery is Dead
After pressing the power button multiple times and leaving it in the charge the laptop fails to turn on.
Battery overheat
Unplug laptop from the charge and let the computer cool down. Find a cool area to let the laptop cool off. If that does not fix the issue the laptop has a different problem.
Loose Wiring
Unscrew and unclip the bottom of the laptop to remove the case. Nest unplug the battery from the motherboard. Access that everything is connected under and around where the battery goes. Next reattach the battery and double check that all parts are connected properly.
Burned Out Battery
Check that everything is connected correctly on the inside of the laptop by repeating the above steps. Unscrew and unclip the bottom of the laptop to remove the case. Nest unplug the battery from the motherboard. Next, replace the dead battery with a new one.
Laptop Touch Screen is Unresponsive
The laptop touch screen is not working after the PC screen wakes up. This is due to the laptop’s power management setup in conjunction with device drivers. Upon screen wake-up, the drivers in charge of the touch screen are not re-enabled. Therefore the touch screen remains unresponsive. Please see below for troubleshooting solutions.
Run Hardware Troubleshooter and Check Status of Touch Screen Device
Follow these steps:
a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
b) Type troubleshooting in the search box and then press enter.
c) Click hardware and sound and run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.
d) Follow the On screen instructions. Once this is done, restart the computer and check the status.

Debugging Outdated or Incompatible drivers
Uninstall and Reinstall the Generic Touch Screen Drivers.
- Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.
- Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
- Expand “Human Interface Devices” and search for the Touch Screen device from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may
select that and then remove the incompatible/corrupted drivers from the
computer. - Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and the restart the computer.
After the restart, please open the Device Manager again and then click on the “Scan for hardware changes” button. Check if your operating system detects the Touch Screen device and installs an appropriate driver automatically.
Disabling / Re-enabling Device Drivers One By One
You may try to disable and enable the drivers one by one to check which
drivers disables the touch screen and proceed accordingly. You may access the
computer manufacturer website to get the latest drivers.
Verifying that all Windows Updates are up to Date
Make sure that you have installed all the updates (including the optional updates) available for the operating system via Windows Update.
