Dell Inspiron 1520 Troubleshooting`

Remove battery panel on the bottom of the laptop. Access the motherboard. De-Sauter the graphics chip from the motherboard. Replace and reinstall the new graphics chip onto the motherboard. Download drivers and installers onto a external storage. Then, from another device, upload the drivers into the Dell Inspiron 1520.

Diagnose the problem. To do that, verify the A/C adapter (charger) is working by plugging it in to another device. If the charger is working, run the dell hardware diagnostics test. If the diagnostic test comes up with no problems, then check the battery health status. If the health status is port, you disengage the battery locks, then remove the battery from the bottom port and replace it.

Remove the optical drive terminal screw. Remove the optical drive. Remove the three screws on the back exterior of the drive. Open it up and remove the disc. Then you reinsert the drive, reinstall the terminal screw, and then power up and restart your device.
