Camera Shutter Button not working

Hold power button down

Before opening up camera to see if something is broken, first...

Check if Shutter Button is in good condition

Remove battery to force a shut down

If the power button is loose, stuck, or otherwise unresponsive

Camera lens not working/ error message

“My lens seems jammed, it does not open”

Miss alignment when the camera is being powered down, causing parts in the lens to jam

This can be fixed by gently trying to push the lens back into the proper place. Minimizing the motion it would do when it was properly working.

Jammed lens

This can also be fixed by gently trying the lens back in the body of the camera, make sure that you reset the camera after it is properly in its place.

Flash troubleshooting

“Flash is not coming out when taking pictures”

This could be a low internal battery

Replace the internal battery.

Settings are not properly formatted

Make sure that the camera flash is turned on; if flash does not continue to turn on restore your cameras factory settings by taking out the battery and memory card for at least fifteen seconds.

Camera will not accept batteries

“There seems to be a problem with the spring that accepts the batteries.”

Remove the Battery Cover

The battery door may need to be removed. Remove the battery cover and set it aside.

Camera got in contact with water

“I got my camera wet and now it won’t work.”

If camera is not working

Soak your phone in 99% Isopropyl alcohol for about two hours. Having that done, put camera in a bag of uncooked rice for a few hours. In this stage the rice will absorb all the moisture and hopefully restore the camera.
