I wen online to Apex.com and READ! the manual for troubleshooting. There it was in plain view. A button on the remote had been pushed accidentally and all I had to do was push it again. It was the P/N button. It was so simple, but I don't do simple. Oh well, hope this helps someone else. Thanks for your site, it is the first place I go with tech problems.
Thank you, Josh. I actually considered that idea and will probably have to do it that way; but I would still like to find a supplier or manufacturer of the rubber pads as I have many other items to repair. Thank you for responding so quickly. Kellmira
