Check inside the freezer compartment. Does it look like it’s icing? Does it look like snow on the back wall? Of so, remove the back panel and use a heater gun or blow dryer to melt the ice from the coils. The unit may need a new defrost heater, defrost timer, thermistor or main control board. Also check for tight seal when door is closed.
Check the RSSI value for your chime. In the app click on your device then device health. If it’s value is over -60 then try plugging your device closer the wireless router. RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication) is a measurement of wireless signal strength, ranging from 0 (perfect) to -99 (very weak). When the Ring app shows you an RSSI value, it indicates the strength of the Wi-Fi signal your Ring product receives from your router. Wi-Fi signals get weaker with distance, and further interference can be introduced when they pass through obstructions (such as walls), or from other electronic devices. Plug the chime in an outlet within 10-15 feet from the wireless router. If that solves the issue then it’s too far from the wireless network.
