Throwing in my experience here. I had the same problem, "No Service" all the time, intermittent periods of a 3G signal for maximum one minute before going back to "No Service". I tried all of the common solutions that had been proposed (except fixing the blue inductor coil): (1) Manually setting date and time (2) Resetting network setttings (3) Checking all the connectors and everything were plugged in properly and screwed in tightly If you are confident that you haven't damaged your inductor coil, here are the two things that I think worked for me: (1) Ensuring that the gold connector under the logic board is hooked into the ridge at the top of the frame (2) LOOSENING all the screws a little. Don't screw everything in so tight. Especially the screws that go into the antenna frame. I remember when I took apart my phone, that some of the screws were not particularly tight- doing this seemed to work Now I'm back to having signal without having to go out an buy a soldering iron! Woohoo!
