Your maintenance light will illuminate when it's time to schedule a service, so it's important to stay up-to-date on your oil changes and tire rotations. But if you take care of your routine maintenance at home, you might need to reset the light manually. (1) Place your key in the ignition and turn to the "on" position, but do not start the vehicle. (2) Press and hold the trip reset button until "Trip A" pops on the screen. (3) Turn your key back to the "off" position. (4) Press the button to reset the trip and turn the key back to the "on" position. (5) If the miles section of the odometer suddenly flashes zero, you've successfully reset the maintenance light. What if your attempt didn't work? Try again. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the timing right.
