Rispondi a "phone shuts off after battery replacement"My iphone 4 seemed like it wasn't holding a charge so I got one of these batteries plus all of the tools and magnifying glass. I did the replacement with great difficulty but one of the tiny screws was lost in the phone. The phone wouldn't work with the new battery. I threw the old battery into the garbage on garbage pickup day, got to work, and read that these new batteries don't work. I zoomed home and picked the old battery out of the garbage moments before it was picked up. I put the old battery back in, the missing screw magically turned up, and the phone worked again. I soon got an iphone 4s.
Rispondi a "phone shuts off after battery replacement"I just had the same experience. After replacing what I thought might be a degenerating battery in my Iphone 3G, last night the phone wouldn't power up and when it did, I wasn't getting the unlock bar to move. After many attempts and resets, the unlock bar worked but the phone wouldn't stay powered up. After reading this and another forum, I suspected the problem was the replacement battery. So I rushed home and pulled the original out of the garbage before the trash collectors arrived. I put the old battery back in and the phone is working fine! The second install was a lot easier than the first. One bit of advice. The camera cable is a real bear to get back on. I finally realized that it is much easier to disconnect the screw that holds the bracket that holds the lens down, connect the cable, then fasten the lens down.
