Hi! My name is Ana Ortiz and I am a sophomore at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a major in Meteorology and a minor in Computer Science. Weather has been a passion of mine ever since I was a little girl. And growing up I always loved admiring clouds and storms.
An image I captured of a thunderstorm coming into the Daytona Beach area.'''
Throughout the years my passion for atmospheric sciences and STEM in general has grown. Throughout middle school I aspired to be a broadcast meteorologist and upon entering high school research meteorology and forensic climatology really captured my focus. One day I would like to be a forecaster for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or the National Hurricane Center. I have some experience forecasting for Embry-Riddle’s weather website. And although I don’t have much experience with iFixit, I am eager to complete this project!
