I am Marie Hyde, current student at ERAU.
Education:
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Daytona Beach
Major / Aspirations:
I am majoring in Astronomy and Astrophysics, simply because I love learning about space and I enjoy doing physics. I hope to one day specialize in studying dark matter, which is the most fascinating topic for me, though getting the chance to study stars extensively is another goal of mine. I have experience in MATLAB.
Skills / Projects / Accomplishments / Repair Experience:
I have experience in MATLAB, and basic experience in repairing small, insignificant things in my daily life that sometimes break - glasses frames, pens, loose screws, etc. I have a lot of experience in leading groups and teams, though I am also able to let someone else take the lead if need be.
Accolades:
I have received several academic awards from my university.
Groups / Memberships / Hobbies:
I am a member of several groups on campus, including the dance team (currently holding position as secretary), Valkyrie (women’s leadership group), and even gaming groups and clubs. I enjoy dancing as a hobby, having done it for 15 years prior to entering college, and I play plenty of video games on the side as well.
