School: Washington State University, Vancouver
Major: Electrical Engineering Major, Psychology Minor
Aspirations: I Hope to go either into the Power Systems industry or work within Aerospace to better the electrical systems of aircrafts.
Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint), Adobe Photoshop, Solidworks, Coding (Visual Basic, C, Assembly PIC24), time management, customer-oriented service, organizational skills, data analysis.
Awards: Valedictorian, John Philip Sousa Award, AP Scholar Award, President’s Honor Roll
Groups/Memberships: IEEE, National Honors Society
Hobbies: In my spare time, I play the flute. I perform with the Clark College Band and Orchestra. I also play an assortment of other instruments, including guitar, tin whistles, piccolo, and ukulele. I also enjoy reading and baking.
This experience in editing projects has helped me better understand how to communicate to others effectively with the understanding that they may not have the technical understanding and knowledge that I received from engineering school.
Fun Facts: I know the Canadian Boot Dance, among others, but this dance is the most fun. I can improvise on the flute, as well as create counter-melodies to familiar pieces. I love playing video games both on the Xbox and Nintendo Switch. I cannot read during school week days, because once I pick up a book, I struggle to put it down… it sadly gets in the way of engineering schoolwork.
