Interesting topic. I have a different question: As mentioned here, it seems iPod Classic 6th Generation, 6.5 and 7th gen have pretty similar hardware, and so, should not be difficult to interchange parts. My question is: Have anyone here installed a Gen 7 Headphone/Hold switch unit to a Gen 6? Would it work? My goal is allowing my good-ol 6th gen to be controlled with Apple's $19 EarPods w/control. Thanks!
I have a brand new Targus KB55 keyboard and was having the same issue... Random spaces when pushing the key. Decided to remove it and add a little sticky paper to it, just above the key membrane. Voila! That solved the issue.
Thanks for your support on this; quite useful. Anyhow, I have a related question: My Ring device is quite far from my wifi router, so I am getting above 70 RSSI (poor signal). I know installing a wifi repeater/amplifier may solve the issue, but was wondering if, considering we can easily open the Ring device, we could solder a thin cable to go out of the box for creating an external antenna. Looks like the thin black cable (you can easily see it at the left on Step 4 picture) is connecting to the device antenna. Any experience/comments/suggestions on this regard?
