Rispondi a "Cursor jumping randomly when typing"I gave up, bought myself an apple wireless keyboard, got out the Magic Mouse, and put the MacBook on a stand. Problem solved. Pain in the neck.
Rispondi a "Cursor jumping randomly when typing"It’s a nightmare. Luckily I do most of my work on my home iMac,— the laptop is primarily for uploading and editing photos when I travel, and scheduling clients while in my office. Even then it has driven me crazy. I was at the Apple store yesterday looking at the new and “improved” MacBook Pro, and asked the salesperson about the trackpad issue. He claimed to have never heard of it. Anyhow, I don’t think there will ever be a fix except turning it off altogether and using a mouse, which I don’t intend to do. Will hang onto this one for as long as it lasts unless I weaken and do a trade in. Truth is these MacBooks last ay longer than any PC laptop my husband gets. Shame about the trackpad.
Rispondi a "Cursor jumping randomly when typing"I have had macbook pros for some time. I retired my 2012 MacBook Pro when the trackpad quit after having NO PROBLEMS with it for years— and those years included pounds of crumbs and cups of coffee etc. I replaced it with the 2018 high end MacBook Pro version. The cursor problem happened immediately out of the box and ALWAYS happens. I may be typing an email and the cursor will jump back to messages or safari, etc. It seems the touchpad is too sensitive so anything brushing it will set it off. Couldn’t this be a relatively simple software fix? My husband told me it was an issue for people even before I bought it and experienced it, so Apple knows. Disappointing, as I have loved the MacBooks before this…
