Hey world! As you all can probably see, I am very new to this forum, but I am addicted to it! I am on it during any of my free time, and it now occupies my weekends from 6am-11pm. I'm sure whoever is reading this is probably wondering who in the world would write that answer (I mean, come on! How dumb can he be!). I know, I know, I am probably just some dumb high schooler who has no idea what he is doing. Just wait till I get 10k rep... you'll understand [Err... the day will never come!].

Rispondi a "Do I need a new LCD Screen + Digitizer or just a new Glass Lens?"Hey Noah, If you had the laminating equipment, yes, you would only need the glass. However, the equipment is expensive (especially for the new screen on the x), so I'm not sure that many repair stores will have the right stuff for the curved screen. That being said, repair stores get wholesale pricing, and they already have the tools to do the repair, so it would be best for you to just go to a repair store. Hope this helps, -Tanner
Rispondi a "Will I ruin my battery if I put it into another waterdamaged phone?"Hey Anders, It depends on if her phone has severe enough damage. There may be a spot on the board where it is shorting out due to incomplete drying or damage, so I would recommend cleaning the logic board with a clean toothbrush and some isopropyl alcohol before trying to put your battery in it. Then, let it dry for another day. The only other risk is you may damage your battery when pulling it out, so make sure you have the right tools and follow this guide! Hope this helps, -Tanner
Rispondi a "Using Lipo Charger to directly power android tablet"Hey dettol, I would not recommend pulling the battery out from your phone and charging it. This could result in toxic gases being released, flames, or even an explosion (with shrapnel!). If you were to provide us with the make/model of your tablet, we could help to diagnose other problems with your tablet. Hope this helps, -Tanner
Rispondi a "How do I clean my device?"Hey Morgan, If you are very concerned about damaging your device, you could pick up some anti-static cleaner online or at a local hardware/electronics store. However, you can just spray a bit of glass cleaner on a paper towel and gently wipe off your keyboard. I have never damaged a computer by cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol or glass cleaner. Hope this helps, -Tanner
Rispondi a "My phone turns on but the screen is black"Hey Rae, To me, it sounds like there is a faulty backlight in your screens, or some other board level componet related to the backlight. Not sure how you would go about fixing this, but I believe it would just be a screen replacement. Hope this helps, Tanner
Rispondi a "Ipad screen unresponsive after being dropped"Hey Emi, It sounds like your digitizer and LCD are both broken. This means that you will need a full screen replacement, unfortunately. However, you can do this yourself for much cheaper than a repair store can. Just let me know what model of iPad you have, and I can direct you to the right resources for repair. Hope this helps, Tanner
Rispondi a "Broken screen , what parts need to be changed?"Hey Bondil, I would recommend replacing it using this guide. You will need to purchase a new display assembly, which you can most likely find on ebay somewhere. Hope this helps, -Tanner
Rispondi a "iPhone 6 not charging after using fake cable."Hey Ralf, I think that the fake cable you have may have broken. While it is entirely possible your charging port assembly broke (fix it with this guide), it is more likely you just need to buy a new cable. This time, make sure it is a high-quality one! Hope this helps, -Tanner
Rispondi a "Digitizer only replacement possible?"Hey Jay, It appears as though it is possible, though it is not feasible. You would have to buy re-laminating/refurbishing equipment (expensive!). This is due to the fact that the digitizer is secured to the lcd with a film adhesive that is difficult to remove. I would just recommend purchasing a new digitizer lcd assembly. You can replace it with this guide. Hope this helps, -Tanner
Rispondi a "I spilled some water over my iPhone 6 pleade help."Hey ShadowJax, I recently had the same problem on my mom's iPhone 6s. She had already put the phone in rice, which I would not recommend, as that just leaves a heavy coating of minerals on the logic board. What I would do is pull open the phone, remove the logic board, and drop it in some isopropyl alcohol. This will displace the water on the logic board, preventing further corrosion. Make sure to remove the IC shields, as no water will come out underneath them. This can be done by rotating heat around the edge of the shield with a heat gun. Once you hear popping sounds, you can start to pry it up with a pliers. You will not need to remove them all (more info here). One is also a sticker that you can peel off. Once you have done that, either purchase an ultrasonic cleaner like this, or bring it to a repair shop/friend who has one. Have them drop it in there in isopropyl alcohol for 30-ish minutes. This will not only clean off minerals plastered to the logic board, but it will also clean underneath the ICs....
