Hi Lisa, Do the following on the IPHONE: (1) go to SETTINGS (2) touch GENERAL (3) scroll all the way to the bottom (4) touch RESET (5) touch ERASE ALL CONTENT and SETTINGS (6) while you are add it, Tap on all the RESET options, just to make sure (7) lastly do what Mr. Essen wrote, just to Triple check all info is gone Or if you have Mobile Me or you know someone who does, have them do a remote wipe to destroy all info on you IPHONE, IPOD, IPAD. good luck GqMarti

Hello Jacob, i washed my Ipod touch and Iphone by accident for 2 hours in the washing machine after coming home from the gym. Since i like everything smelling good i always do a double wash. I realized i left my devices in the washer only when i left for work. I quickly returned and i found both devices fully soaked with detergent inside the screens. I was devastated, lost 2 extensions of myself in one instant. IPODS/IPHONES, Apple made them tough because people will use them for roughly. Here is what you need to do As soon as possible. this worked for me Tools: (1) sharp tool to pry open screen (2) jeweler screw driver set. (3) tray (1) fan/heater ( i bought this fan heater at walmart for $15.00 (1) bag of rice (2) wood broom or plastic pole, no metal objects (3) follow Ifixit or any other website that shows how to take it apart. i provided a link to watch. there are many out there http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K567Ld3QY... step 1: tear down IPOD touch as much as you can and layout all pieces in a tray....

its called a lock ring too you can find in a engine repair shop. I have the tool, but the teeth were not long enough to reach the holes on the lock ring. here is an alternative 1. Get the longest screwdriver you can find, that can touch the battery and still have length showing once you put the screwdriver in the battery well. any type of tape, to tape down the wires. 2.remove plastic cover it will pop off once glue is removed. there is only 2 screws holding down the electronic board. remove the first screw, 2a, bend back slowly the soldered part that you just removed the screw from, 2b, unscrew the post. 3.there is a piece of tape the is covering the wiring lock to the circuit board. remove tape, unclip the plastic lock and pull circuit wire from the back of the board ( similar to Ipod,Iphone connection) and push the circuit board towards the button you use to power up the keyboard. slide slowly, the battery connection is attached. once you see the connection take it off with your nail or screw driver...
