The picture: How do you put it back? was v. helpful, but the twin plastic tails you see pointing up and the metal hooks are in different positions on mine. There appear to be different variants even for the same key type. Just for ref, in mine, underneath the tail part of the key are 2 plastic components. The square one appears to hinge underneath the key cap. The [-shaped bit in fact goes this ] way around just outside metal hooks. It appears fixed. Stephen
I get how to put back the top half of the key, but not how or where the [-shaped piece of plastic goes in the bottom part of the key. I should mention that this return key is the US '9' shaped style, not a horizontal bar. The tail-part is the problem. Stephen
