When did you get it did it had the warranty sticker on? It may had problem with YLOD and was repaired before you get it. Also it might be not repaired and just fail. This no video and green light may be also like YLOD with the fix being to replace the capacitors down side of CPU and GPU
If there is no icon of spinning disc top right corner seems like the console can not see any disc! Try with an original PlayStation game or an audio CD. Then try a DVD video. It may be a problem reading games only. It is a common problem, I had it too! It may also be problem with the spindle of the disk. Whatever the problem I can't believe the game has any problem!
If you haven't cleaned the inside of the console then it needs to be free of dust in order to be more quiet. Also the thermal paste of CPU and GPU must be replaced. There is the possibility to clean it and replace the thermal paste but PS3 to have very fast and loud fan! This is problem of the GPU or CPU. You have to remove the silver metal over GPU and CPU. It is called IHS. I would suggest to remove the GPU IHS and replace the thermal paste there too. You can found enough videos of PS3 IHS removal. I had mine removed and replaced thermal paste and then fan started to worked like it used to!
It is probably an older model PS3, the big one. A lot of them have the same symptom of YLOD. Today it is known that probably capacitors are the problem. The rectangular black things on the bottom of CPU and GPU. You can try to replace them with other more reliable and see if it works! I see question is old and if you want information about what type of capacitors and how to do it feel free to ask for more information.
That's good work!! You have test controller on other console and works! Of it is possible try to have your console too somewhere else! It might just be interference of some kind, wifi Bluetooth antenna. Can you try to have your PlayStation on another room or even to another house. I had a similar problem where a thick wire on the wall was causing me interference on a television signal. Hope for an easy fix!
First I would try to connect the controller with a usb cable on to the ps4 usb. Turn on your ps4 and then press the ps button on the controller. If it starts to work then it seems like the battery can't hold the necessary voltage in order to turn on. I’m not sure but it seems there is corrosion on the board of the controller. If the problem isn't fixed and you have a soldering iron and some solder you can try to melt the solder joint of the analogue stick. On the ribbon cable corrosion seems not so bad. Hope it's just the battery! And you can find one easily and cheaply!!
If with or without UPS the problem persists you can also try change power cord and check it with another power outlet if possible. If nothing of the above fix it then power supply of PlayStation 4 is probably faulty. If you are about to open the power supply BE EXTRA CAREFUL and you will need a multimeter ! I would recommend to buy a refurbished one, be careful with the model of the power supply you already have and find the same or a compatible one, there is model name on the power supply itself.
Remove batteries and connect controller with console via usb. Go to settings and there is a tab for controller inside that there is even a button for updating your controller with the latest firmware. If there is an update then do it. Turn of console, use NEW double A (AA) batteries, not the one you can recharge, single use batteries. Put them inside controller then connect controller with cable onto XBOX ONE, hit XBOX ONE power button. Your controller will vibrate for a moment. When XBOX show dashboard (homescreen) try controller. If does not work press the XBOX button on top of the controller. If it works then remove cable connecting controller with console. If controller turns off (the xbox logo on top turns off) then there is problem with controller if not there is problem with XBOX ONE console. Hope this direct you to the problem and then fix it! Best of luck!
If you mean adapter there is only usb to Kinect port which can be used for Kinect in order to connect it with XBOX ONE S which does not have Kinect port. If your Kinect has any problem with it's cable you can remove it and replace it but only on ebay I have found (xbox one kinect cable) that's how I search it because there are power cables for kinect for xbox 360
I have two PlayStation 2 SCPH-50003. Both used, don't have any mode chip on it! One of them play all game PlayStation/ PlayStation 2 black blue and silver discs.
The other played SSX 3 and Tomb raider legend but videos where slow and gameplay had problems. Just tested it and minutes later stoped working.
I Ibought2 lenses KHS-400C. I removed the solder spot from both of lenses. I tried both of them and none of them worked! I tried from the other working PlayStation 2 and didn't worked either! I tried all 4 KHS-400C on the working console and they all worked!
What else can cause Disc read error? Moreover I replaced the drive with motors and eject mechanism from the working one to the non working with no change!
Before anything unplug your PlayStation and try the power button couple a times to turn on the PlayStation.
Just check the fuse with a multimeter. It is a cylindrical tube with metal on it’s two corners. The easy way is to check continuity with a mutimeter which is a symbol with a speaker on it. Touch red and black probes and you will hear a beep. Connect the two ends of the fuse and if it beeps then fuse is ok. You can even check it while fuse is on the board. If ok and PlayStation is not working then there is a problem somewhere else on the power board, mostly…
