So I just said "hello" right next to the camera and the monitor unit thing turned back on, but what? My baby needs to be screaming for it to work? The last time I used it she was crying and it didn't work. I talk in the room and it doesn't turn back on...

When my VOX is on (voice activated mode) my screen will go white (like it's powering down) with some message on it but then shut off faster than I can read it and the signal light turn off. Is this what it is supposed to do? When my baby starts crying it doesn't turn back on like you think it should. When I press a button the white screen will come back and it will say "system activating..." What the heck?!
