You would either need to try and match it with another similar pad, buy another controller of the same to salvage parts, or buy a new controller. The chance of being able to match a part is slim but feel free to send over a picture of the part to us here at ZedLabz and we will be happy to take a look and see if we recognise the part as similar to another. The problem with many third party controllers is that they use bespoke parts, and are not widely available like official parts. kind regards kieran ZedLabz
Per saperne di piùHi P6 connectors are readily available and work with a variety of Nintendo models such as DS Lite, 3DS etc. It is a basic part so you do not need to have specifications, just search for P6 connector for DS Lite or 3DS. They have 4 surface mount legs to solder and you should find 4 contacts on your screens ribbon cable flex. Cheap to buy, but they do have to be soldered in so good soldering skills would be needed for this small part. You can find them on ebay and here Kieran
Per saperne di piùHi Will We have seen two different designs of replacement GameCube 3D modules, one which is a copy of the original and another with a different design. We have been looking at the Game Cube 3D modules ourselves for our third party controller in order to improve it for Smash bros and cannot find a source for OEM which were made by Mitsumi. To buy from such a manufacturer would require massive minimum orders like 100K pieces or maybe more. I believe the issue with the third party sticks is either the design used or the plastic quality, the part is actually really basic and just a few bits of moulded plasic in a metal casing and two sensors on the sides. The issue seems to be with the middle plastic parts wearing and failing, the plastic grinds down to a white powder. Could you post a picture of the top of the thumbstick to down what the inside looks like, i could probably tell you if you used the version that is a copy or alternative design, it might be worth you trying the copy style as it might last...
Per saperne di piùHi No they are different unfortunately, the little notches on the edges of the buttons which ensure they are seated in the right hole on the housing and the right way up are different. Not sure about the rest of the profile such as the height and diameter of the button (they look very similar if not the same). You might be able to mod a set of 3DS XL buttons to fit by cutting new notches on the side so they fit the 2DS XL housing. The notches are not visible from the outside so cosmetically if you can mod them to fit the holes in the housing they should look perfect once fitted. Kieran
Per saperne di piùHave you tried giving the screen ribbon cable and wipe, you might also want to try cleaning the ribbon connector on the mainboard. Use a Q-tip in rubbing alcohol to clean up the ribbon and connector, ensure you let it dry out and then test the results. Hope this helps. Kieran ZedLabz
Per saperne di piùThird party controllers (even officially licensed versions) are nearly impossible to get replacement parts for unless they happen to use the same parts as the official first party controller. The silicone conductive pads would generally not be available to buy for this controller and they are not the standard ones from an official xbox controller. Have you lost it or is it not working / damaged? I believe your only options would be to get another of these controllers used from ebay if it is worth repairing or possibly use a different silicone conductive pad from another controller, but the chances of finding the right size is very slim. If you would like to send over the measurements we can have a look at see if any of our controller silicone contact button pads are the right size, contact me here or on twitter @zedlabz Thanks Kieran
