E-bay/amazon for the sd slot...but would be to hard to unsolder/solder for most people. Maybe a phoneshop that does repair could help you out? Or call nintendo see if they can help... But user damage costs a lot :(

Blod... blue light of death!? Could try leaving it online over-nigh,see if it finishes updating... but most likley a hardware error/failed update... need to call nintendo helpline! Clean fan/vents with small paint brush if dusty! and dust it before you send it. If you have a receipt and it's less than a year old it may be a free fix! if not then Cost is £54 unless they find user damage then its £175 !!!!...But will be free post at least. They text you on progress and let you know. My one was blinking light only at power on, no disk sounds or conecting to controller...cost £54 due to hardware fault...the console had never been opend.

Can use any 2.5" sata hdd also you need a hdd slim cage... find both on ebay! Or you can use a bit of card top and bottom to hold the hdd in place. You must secure the drive so it cant move about. Otherwise the hdd kind of floats held only by the sata port... not recommended as a slightest move of the ps3 can dislodge it! See my vid about 3 minute mark. YES! If the flex cables do not connect properly then the pad shows the blue light for a few seconds then turns off. I fixed this issue using white tak to hold down the tiny little flex cables. Just push the flex cable onto the connector exactly in line..then use a small blob of tak to hold it down! Not the best fix but much easier than trying to solder anything!
