UMass Dartmouth, Team 1-2, Petersen Fall 2023

My interests are in the fields of robotics, manufacturing, designing, and more. The reason I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (UMASS Dartmouth) is because it allows me to focus and expand on my interests. Before going to UMASS Dartmouth I went to Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School. I was part of the first graduating class of the Robotic & Engineering Technology Program, completing many technical projects including the creation and design of a SMART dog house. Attending this shop allowed me to do things that I was interested in while growing a stronger connection and forming the foundation for a career in mechanical engineering. Designing and manufacturing shows the processes of how machines work and the way it was made while looking into the reason behind their design. For example, robotics has become an integral part of modern manufacturing processes across various industries that can develop new machines while also inventing/improving things that can help people in life.
