The repair guide was pretty good. This replacement is not for the amateur. You must be patient AND you must be comfortable with soldering. If both are not descriptive of your gifts/talents, I highly recommend that your product professionally repaired!

Il Mio Consiglio

1. Opening a iPod requires grit and gall. Patience and methodical care are a must...

2. The description for removing the metal LCD cradle are lacking....there are retainer clips on each long side that must be bent in towards the center of the iPod to remove the cradle.

3. I cannot stress this one enough....the screws are ##&&% to remove without stripping them out. I had two go this route, which I then needed to drill out to remove the LCD cradle. Not a fun prospect.
