My ps3 had the YLOD. Bummed, but i found out that there were fixes and kits for this.

Your ps3 will be different. I had a CECHE s/n model, which has a few more screws to deal with. Also, consider that you're ps3 was assembled by relatively unskilled hands, so it's not complicated to take apart and put back together.
