My son-in-law gave me his old iPhone 5 which had been lying in a drawer for a few years to replace my antique Samsung candy bar phone. I'm a frugal old bastard too cheap to buy a new one, but the Samsung was truly a piece of crap. The iPhone 5 had a lot of miles on it, so no surprise the batt went south.

I watched the video then put the step-by-step guide up on my iMac. This guide is quite good and anticipates the difficulties and tricky parts for you so you are forewarned. The tool kit is excellent. I needed to wear two pairs of strong glasses at the same time to see those 1.2mm screws, but I got them out and back in with ease. I had to go get my bride's hair dryer and fire it up to unstick the battery glue, but everything worked the way the guide said it should. Kudos to the guide creator.
