My friend's well used MacBook Unibody was beginning to run very slowly and unpredictably, so I assumed, based on experience, that the hard drive was dying. Being inside, we upgraded the memory as well.

Easy to do. The repair guides for RAM and Hard drive made it easy. Also decided to remove and reinstall the track pad, which we had replaced with an iFixit part a year ago. All went well, the new drive is an SSD of double size, so his MacBook should be running for years more.

All went well. One screw had a different head than described, but the iFixit toolkit had one that worked.
