Informazioni Dispositivo

The iPhone 5 is Apple's 6th iteration of the iPhone. It comes in two different models, the Verizon/Sprint model (A1429) and the AT&T/T-Mobile model (A1428). Announced on September 12, 2012 at an apple event at the Yerba Buena Theater in San Francisco, the iPhone 5 features several major design changes. These include improvement on the body styling such as increase in the screen size, and weight and thickness reduction. The update also saw the inclusion of LTE cellular wireless networking, and the introduction of a new dock connector, Lightning.

The Apple iPhone 5 features a 4.00 inch touchscreen LCD display with a 640x1136 pixel resolution, an 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a 1.2 megapixel front camera. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core Apple A6 processor and comes with 1GB of RAM. Case color choices include silver aluminum backing with a white glass front, or a slate gray aluminum backing with black glass.

The most commonly needed repairs for the iPhone 5 are cracked screens and dead battery replacements. iFixit carries the best iPhone 5 screens and iPhone 5 batteries on the market, along with a variety of other iPhone 5 parts for the less common repairs.

All iPhone 5 repairs will need a Pentalobe P2 screwdriver along with standard precision electronics tools. All iFixit Fix Kits come with all the tools necessary to complete the desired repair.

Once all parts and tools have been acquired, check out iFixit’s iPhone 5 repair guides for step-by-step instructions on how to make the fix.
