Reset the Network stack and check if that resolves the problem

Open an Administrator: Command prompt window¹ and type the following commands:

netsh winsock reset - then press the Enter key

netsh int ip reset - then press the Enter key.

Close all open windows and restart the laptop in the normal manner and check if the WiFi works

If still no good, try using the laptop's WiFi as close as possible to your home network router i.e. <15cm and check if the WiFi detects, connects and maintains a stable connection. If it does this could mean a faulty WiFi antenna connection in the laptop.

¹ type cmd in the search box on the Taskbar and select the Run as Administrator option for the Command prompt app. If there's no options right click on the app icon and select the option. Yes there are spaces in the command strings. Also the mouse doesn't work in a Command window. If you make a typing error use the backspace key on the keyboard to step back and delete until you reach the mistake and start typing again.
