iPhone 4s replacement screen white around the edges
I replaced my iPhone 4S screen and when I restarted it everything looked ok. After a short while however the new screen started displaying a milky white glow along the edges. I've reopened it and checked the connectors but no luck. I'm also suspecting that it's spreading. The digitizer works fine.
Any ideas what may cause this and how to fix it?
Update: after letting it rest overnight the screen looked fine first thing in the morning, however the white 'halo' reappeared shortly after. Heatsink issue?

Hi Tolga,
Many thanks for your answer. I think I have exactly the same issue as there's a gap between the frame and the screen on the left side on my phone too. will chase a refund.

I had this problem with a customer's iPhone 4s after I attempted to modify a CDMA screen to fit. I used a dremel to cut off one of the tin notches and I think the vibration from the dremel damaged the LCD. I did the same thing to yet another CDMA screen--so managed to trash two of these units, in the same day, with the same white halo effect. Needless to say, I no longer try to convert CDMA screens to fit 4S screens.
