My MBP suffered a fall that disabled half of it's screen but nothing else until a week later when it stopped producing any sound from its speakers or headphone jack. do you have any ideas what it could be?

The fall likely dislodged or damaged connectors/logic board. You may be able to re-seat the connector, but if that doesn't work you'll have to replace parts.
