PS2 shows no sign of life, however the energy port is fine (PSU too)
It's missing a switch, is it important, can you see anything else missing?

Hi!
That switch is important as without it, it won't be able to detect that the lid is closed > causing that it won't read discs any longer.
For what I can see, nothing is missing. Afraid you need to check the caps and also check for shorts.
If those are OK, it will be difficult to find the issue as multiple components could cause this. Also check the components near the power connector.
