Does not power up

Hello,

I have an iMAC 17", 2 GHz, and by accident my printer's USB cable touched the firewire "400," resulting in my iMAC shutting down and it will not power up when the power switch button is pressed. Any suggestions, advice, or recommendations? Thanking all of you in advance.

Unplug the machine. Press and hold the power on button for 5 seconds. Plug the machine back in and let us know your results when trying to power on. This failing, remove the frame so you can observe the diagnostic LEDs and try to start up and see what the LEDs show you.
