The inside of the lower part of my microwave door is peeling

My GE microwave is stainless steel. However, the door is plastic. When looking at the lower part of the inside of the door, the paint is peeling. I’m not sure if it’s safe to use. Not sure if it makes sense to replace the parts after looking online or is it possible to paint it?
