Start with the drivers - these use HP Easy Start, and Easy Start can (and will) be wonky if something happens. 3e3 points to either a software issue or a print mechanism failure :-(.

If the issue remains with a reinstall across multiple computers, the cartridges are being stalled. It's typically a piece of paper from a jam that lingered, but if the path is clear, something on the path is bent, or the lithium grease is shot. If there's no paper in the track, put fresh grease on and pray - if it keeps getting stuck, the printer itself has physical damage. You might be able to find a new mechanism, but a lot of the time parts aren't available for those low cost models, especially HP+ ready ones which tend to be extra disposable due to the extra DRM beyond HP DS.
