1 Boot loops 3 times, then defaults back to charging.
I’ve swapped the battery, I’ve attempted to get into bios.
When I turn it on I get the ROG logo for 2 seconds and it boot loops exactly 3 times before powering off. The backlight turns on but I only see the rog logo once.

Hey there Mark, just for clarification was the boot looping occuring before you repalced the battery?

@jmehnert I bought it as faulty not charging. It was only taking 5v 0A from charger. I found a blown filter, replaced that now it’s taking a charge and charging the battery but boot looping, I have no idea of previous history.

I am thinking corrupt bios, but surely it wouldn’t even try to boot if that were the case.

@markwilcock Have you tried resetting the Embedded Controller? If you disconnect the battery and hold the power button for 40 seconds it should rest the EC.

@jmehnert I hadn’t done this previously but I had the board out of chassis replacing the faulty diode pack which would have drained the capacitors anyway. Regardless I just followed your advice now, still boot looping.
