LCD screen frame broken & cracked

The screen frame on my MBP 17" [A1212] is completely cracked on the left side of the computer near the hinge and cracked on the left side going from the right to the left (outside going in)

Wondering if it's possible to replace the frame without buying a new LCD screen, and if buying a new LCD screen comes with the frame. Already looked at the guide on how to replace the LCD screen but would like some more info if I can get it before diving head first into this project. :D
