Why does my phone vibrate so loud?

Recently, last night, I noticed the haptic feedback on my phone has been vibrating a lot more aggressively, where the vibrations are noticeably audible as compared to before when my phone was a lot more quiet. I don’t think this is a result of water damage as it has not been in contact with water at all yesterday.
