@greald this model should only be about 6 moth old. Not sure why you are needing a new battery. As for the battery life,there is really not a whole lot that you can do to improve on it. There really is no battery that has a higher capacity for this model. Your battery should actually last a fairly pretty long time.
If you are having an issue with the battery life being extremely short, then you will need to have to contact the vendor and have them check the phone.
The best thing to do is to make sure that all of your settings are in a battery saver mode. To access battery saver options, swipe down twice from the top of your screen to access the expanded Quick Settings panel, then locate and toggle the "Battery Saver" tile on or off. To further decrease battery usage, lower your screen brightness and remove animations since those things require more power.

Idk why but this phone drains battery very quickly on screen on time I'm on nothing os 3.0 newly bought phone used for 2 months
It's either the display too bright or just don't stare at your phone that much if u need long battery life
